Article submission, best way to get links?

I am newbie to SEO, but I am I did read up a bit.
I am now doing link building and I read somewhere, article submission is the best way to get links. Is this always true?

Somewhat. It depends on your content quality and the userbase attracted. I heard somewhere that small, incremental content, will lure more than large content that no one reads.

Yes it is, If you use unique articles it would be great. .
 
Article submission is really a horrible way of backlink building. Quit reading whoever is recommending that article submission is the best way to build links.
 
I am thinking will someone read my article when there are million of article submitted to the article site? I mean will there be much traffic coming to my website in this case?
 
Nobody can deny the fact that content is the king.

If you are not providing quality content... you are basically pushing your users away.

If you want traffic from the page, you can try press release instead of article submission, Article submission helps you to get improvement of serp. . Thanks

Article submission (as long as you have unique content) is cool. But now web 2.0 sites are hammering down the power of article submission.

The content has to be interesting, precise and informative. We all read wiki pages, aren't they long?? But do u read or remember whole wiki page, I guess no.

I hate these type of posts, its like when people say oh xrumer is great as long as you know how to use it but then never tell you how to use it.

Whats the point of this post apart from to make yourself look like a smartarse? If you are not goint to be helpful then just STFU.
 
mass articles submission with spinning articles is useless. it's better for starting focus by making high quality article and submit it to authorized articles directory like ezine or goarticles.

exactly, these days spinning is not useful, Rewriting articles are very better than spinning. .
 
in the beginning stages of link building,when i was unaware of potential sources of links,i used to write like 10 unique articles everyday just for posting to article directories.after writing about 200 articles,i just could not do any more.it will happen to most people.That is when i realized that its time to get off my ass and look for other link sources.Its been real good since then.

so no,just dont depend on article links.make sure to look for other sources like comment links.they work great.And profile links also come real handy.
 
for right now maybe the article submission with unique articles still the best.. but you always need other method backlinks like mccullum said.. (sb, comment, profile, etc)

I second that. I was going to say the exact same thing.
 
I understand that by placing the articles we get links with the ancor but is it not better if you already write unique and quality content to post the article on your site?
