Article Publishing on various sites

Hi all,

I have a couple questions.

1. If I write an article and publish it in my websites blog section, can I also publish this same article on medium, linkedin, etc. Would this appear as though I have duplicate content on my website and punished by Google? Should I spin that same article? Or simply create different articles all together for my blog sections vs public forums like medium and linkedin?
2. I also want to try and get articles published on techradar, forbes, entrepreneur.com, etc. Any general advice? For eg, you can email content to [email protected], is this pointless? I inquired and create a job post on upwork and freelancers are asking for thousands of dollars to just have a mention on any of these platforms and a feature on some of the lower level sites. Any advice?

Ultimately, it's for the backlink.

Yeah then its hard to get into the big places they hardly serve you backlink, you have to keep writing to them you want to.

Yes, It would create duplication issues.

You shouldn't spin the same article to post on those sites.

Instead, create different articles to publish on those sites.

if you are going after press releases, I suggest to have different articles posted on each provider.

1> You can post the same article on your blog, your Linked in and if you are on Medium there, also, there should not be an issue.
Trying to use the same article on other peoples blogs, will get it rejected or removed if they don't get unique content.

2> Forbes, TechRadar costs thousands even tens of thousands to get featured, also your site needs to be of good enough quality to get published on these top tier sites.

1) Medium don't index so do what ever you want. Rest of them you can put like 3-paragraph and add a link read more linking back your article.
2) for backlink from those sites write an article like you are writing for your own site. Linking back to your site or to one of uour site post.

I can understand your point, but these platforms can not accept all the articles they receive. They accept when the content meet the criteria set by their editorial process. Also there are many others trying for the same. I perosnally think its better to buy the link if you have a good budget. As giving thousands of dollar you have surety alteast. If you wait for 6 months to get approved you are already behind 6 months. Why people buy links to save the time. Money doesn't matter. Why not prioritize on the key information i.e highlights of the blog post should be shared or posted on LinkedIn and medium, not the complete article.

If you publish a post on your blog first and then you publish it later on platforms that have a higher domain authority like Medium.com, don't be all that shocked if your publication on Medium appears faster than the copy on your site.

One common misconception that a lot of publishers who are active in the late 90s and early 2000s have is that Google will always prioritize the website where a piece of content was originally published.

This is not true!

Google pays more attention to some sites than others.

Domain authority plays a big role in all of this, so don't be all that shocked if you published the same article on many different platforms and those platforms appear.

It's really important to focus on different articles with different contexts for the link that you are trying to earn from different platforms.

Content sets up context.

I wonder that google takes attention on DA metrics from moz? They have their own rules /guidelines isn't ?
Yepp, google has changed the rules so often....now your syndicate content to medium or other platforms is worthless, since the canonical tag is no longer used, a big gift from google to their wef friends who now can steal your content and rank with it a stheir own origin source, strange .....

I think best advice would be have a similar article, not the same H1 +H2 keywords, original content not rewritenn, different form your indexed worpress origin content, then it would make sense getting additional traffic with this content from other platforms like medium.

Or doing guest post on high authority sites with a lot of traffic, or create a - a satellite network wirk multiple separate domains and push long written pillar, maybe with similar titles so your domains ranking multiple times and cliaming multiple organic traffic who is linked form thes esatellite siotes to your main site... content on them (different content on each domain). Also a satellit enetwork (multiple domains) works great till today in europe serps.
