Article Money Making

Hey guys, so i came up with this idea to use article marketing as a mini-site. What I mean by this is I'm finding (with micro-niche finder) keywords that are below 10000 competitors and at least 500 searches a month. I figure that with a good article, and articlebase.com i could make it to the top of the listings. I'll also create like 20 backlinks per article.

This is my idea, I read something similar to this once, but didnt know if it could work. So what my question is right now is. Do articles convert well? Because I was thinking that even with 500 searches a month, I'll get probably minimum 400 views. So if 1% convert, and with a $30 product, I'll make $120 an article, which is not bad.

So is it worth my time to research all these keywords and then write the articles. Will they convert. Please reply if you've had some experience with making money off articles.

I dont want to build a landing page. What i want to do is eventually have like 50 articles that lead to a product.

First of all, how many views you'll get depends on your ranking.

Second, you can't just blindly build 20 backlinks. Depending on the keywords and your competion you might need to build way more than 20 backlinks.

Third, the conversion rate depends on factors like how well written the sales page is, whether or not your chosen keywords are BUYER keywords, etc. So you can't just assume a 1% conversion rate.

Fourth, you are leaving lots of money on the table by not wanting to send your traffic to a pre-sell page or, even better to an opt-in landing page, where you offer them something product related for free. Then you can do proper follow up for the product you are promoting, and you can even promote other related affiliate products along the road.
