Hey BHW people,
i have a small question to do with article marketing. ill get straight to the point. if i have an article that is optimized with the keyword i have chosen (4%), and i am ranked say 13th in SERPS, would i be able to move up the SERPS if i done some off page SEO (link building towards that articles URL) to the article web page would it move up the ranks, like a normal website.

also are there any other article marketing tip/tricks i should know?

thanks for your help people in advance, this is a tremendous community we have going here

You need MANY articles to boost your SERPS...They really work, but you have to be consistent and post submit a lot of them

i want to increase the search engine rank of my article not my actual site.

I have read it somewhere, it may work. They use hubpages, squidoo, etc..to build links to the articles url.

This absolutely works. This is also a smart thing to do if you write an article, its successful but then it drops after a month, to get it back up.

You have to remember that lots of people JUST write the article. If you social bookmark it, link other articles to it, use squidoo, etc., you are going to be doing a lot extra, and should see results for it (hopefully!)

ok people thanks for the your information, the day i posted this thread i thought ill give it ago with one of my article that is ranked on page 2 of GOO*GLE, and i pointed some backlinks towards the article, and to surprise i am now ranked 6th for the same keyword and have maintained that for almost a day (not long i know). the article was about 5 days old and only ever been on page 2, so i hope this info helps some people.

nice one gooser, could you give some examples of where you got backlinks? blogs, squiddo?

noobatlife i done a little social bookmarking towards the article and some forums posts,
in more detail i submitted to about 5 social bookmarking sites and couple of forum postings on a couple of different related sites.
In all honestly im no guru and i welcome any other idea from anyone.
i read in ezinearticles domination the ebook that one good way is spending $9 and post in USFREEADS (i think it is) for good backlinks
i going to try ya*hoo answ*ers and some blog posts, i know YA and some blogs are NOFOLLOW links but it cant hurt and at worst i get some extra traffic

again, if anyone any ideas for some article link building im all ears

You should also link all your EzineArticles to each other because the more internal links you have in EzineArticles the higher they will rank your article and the more traffic it will get. You can do this by simply copying your article URL and putting it in your bio box. I don't know if it's true or not but I heard you also get your articles approved faster by doing this.

Another good way to get backlinks to your articles is to find related forums and put them in your forum signature. I used Craigslist a couple of times for article backlinks and it works real good. Post it in Orange county, I think it's got a PR8 and lasts for 45 days.

Hey Noobatlife this is my reply to a previous post on this subject:

Can you say more about the linking structure? Do the articles point to the authority sites or the other way around or reciprocally? I think x treme ranking is about that.

I'm linking to the authority sites from my EZA articles author's resource box and then back to the EZA articles. Ex: If you have a Hub, a Squidoo lens and a Weebly, anchor text link to all 3 from your resource box (3 is the max number of self-serving links you can have in your EZA resource box per their editorial guidelines), then anchor text link back to your EZA articles from those pages using the article KW's your trying to rank for. Also anchor text link your pages on these authority sites together and make sure there are no holes in your linking structure.

For added juice to your parasite pages, set up accounts on MyBlogLog, Bumpzee using the KW you're trying to rank for as the name of the account and add your relevent Squidoo and Blogger URL's to your profile. I've had Bumpzee and MyBlogLog links rank ahead of the actual sites I added to those accounts. Another marketer hipped me to using Feedbite and Grazr to aggregate all my RSS feeds to create more backlinks. It can be very time consuming doing this, but well worth it.

Hey guys, what tool is the easiest for article submission? I've used SubmitSuite's Article Submitter and it suckz, and I just tried Article Submitter Pro, and it sucked too.
I'm looking for something that has alot of article sites & updates regularly; AND the main feature is the article site registration.. I'd like it as automated as possible of course... who wants to register & confirm to nearly 1400 sites...

Anyhow, anyone with any info is Greatly appreciated!

I do not know of any article submission software that will auto confirm all of your registrations, damn how it would be nice to have to check your email box and click the link and register it as good in the program...wishful thinking, let me get back into reality now. lol

The best way to submit articles is using online submission services. ArticleMarketer and Unique article wizard are both the best right now. Isnare is also great but if you're okay with the 5-7 days processing time.

I signed up with article marketer, but unique article isn't free..
Maybe I'll give one of the article submission software programs another try.. registering & confirming all those accounts doesn't seem that bad anymore compared to the alternatives.

btw

Any other article marketing/submission tools/websites that anyone can think of is Greatly appreciated. I'll post what I can find as well..

How about linking...

Site ->Authority->Social Networks->Social Bookmarking

Just an example...

Site -> Ezinearticles -> Myspace -> Digg, etc, etc, etc, etc,

Then just multiply...

Site -> HubPage -> Facebook -> etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,

Site -> Squidoo Lens -> Other Social Network -> More social bookmarking (using BMD as an example)

You could still use that as a funnel while interlinking all your articles, hubs, lenses, and other authority sites? Just wondering your opinions

Another great one is submityourarticle.com
It has a great service called article leverage, here is a quick read with article marketing implementation

article marketing is simple just put your articles at article site which are popular your article automaticlly will be ranked

That's a very simplistic approach to say the least. You have to be more aggressive than that if you want your articles to be above the fold in the SERP's and get long term traffic from them.

You might want to read this thread and all the other article marketing threads on this forum.
