Well...it depends.
If I'm just wanting backlinks I don't worry too much about spinning the article. I have articles that I've submitted and were eventually picked up all over the internet resulting in multiple thousands of backlinks for the one unaltered article. It just takes time and lots of patience waiting for the articles to be picked up by other sites.
On the other hand, if I am promoting something pointing to a product, then I'll spin the hell out of the article and make sure each copy is as unique as possible.

What I have done is create a whole bunch of linkwheels that are having a great effect. They have all been bookmarked and pinged etc and are ranking well. However there are a few more serps positions i could do with jumping. So i was thinking mainly for backlinks. All my web 2.0 sites have unique content and I think thats why they are doing well.
The article stuff I am not too worried about showing in SERPS, but would like the backlinks. Plus I will bookmark the articles too which I believe helps.
I was thinking about using a few articles and submitting them to the most sites possible, taking into account everything else ive done, does this sound like it would be okay to do?
p.s. Anywhere I can get a Article site list? Or is there a wervice for submitting on here?

i have heard of a few variations
post one article to the top 5 sites
another different one to the next 30 sites
do daily and that can work well....
Or if you want to spin each one a little and test the results then do that...
article sites are renown for duplicate content since everyone can take the article and post on blogs, so i wouldnt care too much about the dupe rules... but im sure others would disagree...
