Article Marketing outlets

I have seen AC as a primary way to distribute articles with links for building. Does anyone have a Top 25 article marketing list to share? Thanks.

Check out this guys blog. He keeps a list of aprox. 460 article directories updated on a weekly basis.

Wow...that is one massive list. 500! Thanks. So my thought on the Article Marketing process is this:

1. Create article
2. Post article to Blog or Web Site
3. Take same article and Post to AC as "display only"
4. Submit same article to the Directory List you provided

What needs to be changed in this process if the goal is SE Visibility, ROI from Article creation. (E.g. If my time is worth $25/article, then how do I get high visibility and recoup my $25/article cost to break even?)

One of the best ways to do it is to distribute articles to those that will pay for content. I had a list of about 50 article directories that will give you a big percentage of the adsense. Seems good to me.

Actually, when you create your article and post it to your blog, you should rewrite it at least once and then submit that article to the directories.

You'll recoup your cost if your site is monetized properly. I would not recommend submitting the blog article to article directories (each article needs to be unique). Would you prefer your blog article to show up first in the search results or your article at an article directory? If you use the same article, the article directory will outrank your blog and then folks need to take the extra step of clicking the link to your blog. If you use unique articles, you'll get search results for your blog AND the article directories. If cost is an issue, I would focus on getting folks to your blog, which is where the money is. In other words, for a new blog, post unique content daily for two weeks and make sure you have an effective ping list. Use the right plugins and you will get traffic. This is not an autoblog method, this is a white hat niche blog method.

You can also find sites that will send out the article to lots of article directories. People will tell you that only one article will count with Google (and they are correct), but I still get nice boosts from these sites.
