Hey all!

I'm pretty new to this and reading tips that worked back in 2010/11. I was just wondering if Article Marketing is still good for Google rankings? And is Unique Article Wizard still good for that? (I will be using it to backlink my backlinks). Do you guys use any other tool similar to UAW?

Cheers :)

I find article marketing still works but you need to use unique content, content is king now and can make or break your efforts. You need links from lots of places like web 2.0's, article directories, blogs etc. The more different locations the better but remember to use good content, get links from good sites that have not been spammed to death. In regars to UAW i have heard that they are doing ok and that people are getting rankings from them, but i would use with caution.
I find a good thing to start with is setting up some web 2.0s that are like company pages eg mycompany.wordpress.com From this you describe your services, products etc it is really your chance to talk about yourcompany. From these you use url or company name anchor texts to link back to your site. This will give you a good head start with some links that have urls or your company name in them. Then using a different username or usernames set up some keyword related web 2.0s and use keywords or their variations to link to your site. Hope that helps

I'm using them right now, but to be honest I haven't seen the best results.

They definitely get you good indexed links though, I think my niche is just too small.

The support is amazing though, try talking to the guy in charge first, he helps me out 1 on 1 all the time.

The content needs to be unique, and high quality. Content is (and always will be) king.

use knowem.com to find web2.0 and blogs etc that have your username as a folder and spend a day or so populating each profile (yes on each) and more importantly interacting on the site... friend people, comment on posts and get lots of internal links from their top content... use site:www.thewebsiteaddress.com to find the top content and off you go!

also check them on semrush or some other tool to see if their traffic has tailed off in the past 2 years if so avoid!

Just a bit of an update. Suddenly I'm getting pretty good results on UAW, i'm surprised, I'm going to check out link authority next.

Article marketing in itself is still viable, especially targetting long tails and doing some backlinking to the articles themselves. It certainly did take a hit especially sites like Ezine where you used to be able to target a medium competition and it would sit in spots 1-3 with no backlinks; those days are gone. Article marketing is not dead though.

There is nothing wrong with UAW, its a good addition to a SEO campaign IMO and they work fine as T2 and even a small number (on the higher authority sites) as T1. As mentioned keeping your content unique is very helpful. As you mentioned using it as a T2 (linking to your links) its good IMO, you throw it in with other platforms as well obviously.

Thanks a lot for all the details responses. So here is another question.

If I'm using UAW and I can only use 25 (I think) articles a month then should I build up 25 different sites (new blogs, web 2.0 and article directory pages). Or what? Is there a way I can have the same article link to 2 different (T1) sites? So I can build up 50 sites instead of 25? Or could I go even further?

Thanks for your help.
