Article featured image is not showing in Google

I have issue with an article of my wordpress website.
Featured image won't show in google.
I removed it and set it back again but still not showing.
other articles are fine but this one is playing.
any idea why this happens?

You cannot control how Google displays the featured image.
Google decide when to show and which image to show depending on the structure of the search results. When google wants to show, it will show.

So do not worry.
 
Are you sure the blog post is indexed on Google?

Please note that Google doesn't give webmasters direct control over the images used in the results. :)
 
Have a look at metatags or if there are any broken links and sometimes it may be due to cache issues
 
Check the Alt tags of that Image and if the image compression matters check that too

Optimize the image once again like a fresh one so it will work I think
 
It might take time for Google to re-index your page with the updated featured image. Be patient.
 
Check if the featured image is properly tagged with og:image in the meta tags. Sometimes, Google picks up the Open Graph data. If it's a new post, it might just take some time for Google to refresh its cache.

I changed the featured image yesterday, now when I view page source it shows previous file in og:image tag while in wordpress it shows new file.
I cleared page cache with WP Rocket but no luck.

Make sure your image directory isn’t blocked by robots.txt. Go to yourwebsite.com/robots.txt and ensure there are no disallow rules blocking the image directory.
 
You don't have control over which featured image Google displays. Google chooses the image and the timing based on the search results layout. It will show the image according to its own criteria.
 
I think the featured images on Google are random. Sometimes it show, but sometimes not.
 
could be due to indexing delays or technical issues like broken links or incorrect image URLs.

Ah, this happens sometimes… Could be a caching issue, or Google just hasn’t re-crawled that page yet. Check that the image has proper alt text and that your sitemap includes the page. Usually it pops back after a few days once Google revisits the page
 
Usually, it’s a Google reprocessing issue or image eligibility problem. That post’s featured image may be too small, cached with an old URL, blocked, or sending wrong Og: image/schema via your SEO plugin. Rename the image, re-set it, clear cache/CDN, and request reindexing in GSC.
