Yeah it will surely effect ranking of your site. Google will crawl the pages and if copied content found, it will degrade your Ranking and traffic too. Content is King Mate. !

People are lazy. They can't (or won't) write their own original content so they buy cheap plr content or take content from other places. It's common sense to you but people are always looking for a shortcut instead of just putting in the hard work themselves.

A lot of people are really bad writers aswell, not to mention having poor English skills and trying to rank sites in English. To the point, copied content is pretty much worthless if you care at all about ranking.

It's not a good Idea because both the articles will represents the meaning and information i.e copied content. You can make them unique but It wouldn't be good. Instead of doing this get a very high quality article........
