The fresh and unique content is always welcomed by Google. If you are publishing a fresh content on a website, it help to boost the traffic generate more visitors foot steps on your website. It is experienced that when a website uploaded a fresh and unique contest, the tank of the targeted keywords reach higher position.

Edit: actually you can just do a google search with a sentence or 2 of the article. If google does not find anything then its a fresh article.

Actually, I want to rewrite few useful articles I found and post them on my blog.

Why Google is the most successful search engine?
Ans: Because; it does what search engines are supposed to do ,i.e, provide the exact results that user wants, examining his/her keywords.

What user wants?
Ans: Unique and useful information.

Considering the above facts in mind; google sees articles as authentic.

You can rewrite those articles and post them to copyscape and see if it has any red flags. If it doesn't, you're good to go.

Yes you can do this with the help of article spinning tools, there many premium tools which rewrite the original articles and gives you 100% unique article. Before using the spun articles make sure that you have manually edited it and checked its uniqueness. If your article is readable and 100% unique then you can use them in your blog.

You can of course use copyscape or a free online tool i use called plagiarism-checker. This tool reads through each line of your article and shows in red if a line has been plagiarized so you can rewrite it. http://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/
