Ares, how to put up a file

How do you put up a file so it is available for download on Ares?
I didn't know how to set up a torrent, but I figured to try with p2p Ares first. Now, I have no clue how to set up a file on Ares either, and Google didn't help at all with this.

You just put the file in your shared/files folder if I remember correctly. I wouldn't waste time with it though Ares is like 95% fake downloads already so hardly anyone uses it.

I tried that already, and didn't work.
I have an idea with it, don't need much, just testing, but I can't get the damn thing to work.
For instance, when I type lady gaga I get loads of results, when I download it, I get someone downloading it from me instantly, but when I donwload same song from somewhere else, and put it in my shared folder it isn't working. It's like the files need to be specially "designed" in order to be downloadable even if they are in the same folder and look the same. LIke they are marked some way...
