Are YT meme channels accepted for monetization?

As the title says, does Youtube enable monetization on meme channels? i.e. sound only, videos are about 10-20s long.

memes are mostly copyrighted, so no. If you add own content, then maybe.

I doubt you would be able to get away with monetizing a channel soley on reposting common memes (especially if they're super brief and since most use copyrighted music or visuals etc as stated above)

However if you made certain memes an aspect of your overall content and contributed your own twist on it somehow, you might be able to pull it off I imagine

I don't think 20s videos will get you monetized on YT. It's also quite hard right now 'cause of covid-19.

Yeah unless you do come commentary over it. Chances of getting approved would be quite low.
