I had 50 youtube accounts created with different IP addresses and had them uploaded the same way. All were deleted. I heard youtube are deleting accounts where multiple url links are in the description. Is this true and if so is there a way round this?

well from my studies they do!!!
if your videos were not unique and all your description were the same
text with the same link then yes its easy for them to find you.

what you can do is have your link watermarked on the video and use a tinyurl
(or any other link shorten service )
    for you description link.

yes, it seems that if you are using the same url in your videos and your videos are the same....youtube will bring down the hammer on you. They did that same thing to me last week. So i'm in the process of rebuilding my youtube empire.

If you use a tinyurl link, just make sure its unique to each video. Maybe make something like

    <your domain>.com/index-a.html
    <your domain>.com/index-b.html
    <your domain>.com/index-c.html

and each html file will re-direct to your landing page you are promoting on youtube. That way each tinyurl link is unique.
