Are your gas prices going sky high?

Hey all, I was just wondering if anybody else's gas was going sky high, I live in a very small town in middle TN and We just had an announcement over out TV that said gas was going up 1 cent every second. They say it will be up to $5.50 a gl by tomorrow morning.

Here are some images I took of our local gas stations.



You can see that the lines are backed all the way out to the streets.

Also our dang wal-mart is selling out of everything, food and supplies, The lines are like 50 people deep. I cant imagine it being for hurricane Ike even though its projected route is coming towards us.

Now my wife is freaking out about that LHC saying the world is going to end Oct. 21st. Guess I shouldnt have showed her all those articles and youtube vids...lol

Any thoughts on this?
