Since you're talking about outbound link it doesn't have a large impact on your sites ranking.
If this case were to be about inbound links to my site then I would have used click here etc as anchor text to add to the diversification.

Do you mean inbound links? If so, yes. As for outbound links, whatever is natural and provides the best content quality.

Yeah those will help your link profile look "natural" and hopefully dodge Google Ps. i use PBNs links for diversification (LSI, Generic and Naked) and I use my BCN for money keywords.

Yes OP, I always use generic keywords for my backlinks. it is a good practice to use such keyword for diversification process.
