Are you still backlinking POST Penguin?

I haven't been effected at all so my back linking is still continuing, although right now I'm being careful with the links I create.

If you stop link building, that will tell Google everything it wants to know about your backlinks so far.

still doing link building manually to my client site and hes site went up but slowly,

I strongly advise everyone to NOT stop backlink building. This is one of the most obvious signs you can give Google that your previous backlinks were not natural.

If you are concerned about being to aggressive focus on getting high PR quality contextual links. *HINT* Guest posting is a great way to obtain these links.

Still making cash, still linking and I'm still not waiving my ass in the air for Google to give a good slap!

You guys who have stopped have raised a really nice flag in the air by proving your trying to manipulate the serps by backlinking, when you start again you will get a nice red Google handprint on that backside of yours

Yes, but being very selective about the links and ensuring all are manually created.

Still building links but focusing on high pr sites and authority web 2.0 one way links.

I stopped, but I'm planning to start again soon using high-quality comments on low OBL sites.

I don't know what to say. After this penguin i just blast over 3.5 millions of scrapebox links, let's see the results (in one-three months). I don't belleive in Penguin revolution, is some changes, but in my theory, now is the time to be crazy.

Yep, I am, too! I've also just adapted what I was doing earlier a little bit however, the strategies are more or less the same and they are working. Several sites of mine are also coming back up gradually so that's a good sign.

Stopping backlinking isn't the way to go, IMO.

I am still linkbuilding but with better quality and less aggressive.

Still doing the same. As many have said, stopping your process after a major update is a red flag that indicates the links were not natural in the first place.

Why would I stop? This isn't rocket science! Spy on ranking sites, mimic and fire up your backlinks. Go hard or go home.

I'm still continuing my backlink campaigns without any breaks... but then I never got affected by the penguin.

Same here! :)

I just keep adding contextual links with some of my own hand written content (written with dragon!) and all is well for me! :D

Only one site of mine on first page after panda and penguin updates. All other sites are gone.
I am building backlinks on the which is on first page. I am only giving homepage PR and non PR links ( not blogroll with 100s of posts ) just homepage links with different anchor texts.

The site seems to be picking up nicely.

As far as creating new site are getting then ranked on google. I am not in favor of this. Because I dont want to trust google anymore. I have found some other way to get traffic and earn money. If I really need sites and I want to rank them then I will get non EMD sites and I will also try ranking a blogspot and then redirecting it to the domain if needed.

NEVER stop, keep on building till it reaches the sky. On a sidenote, I am selecting a target to hit with a MASSIVE AA list and 1 keyword during a day, investigate the whole negative SEO thing on my own again here.

I will followup on that.

In my case I've not stopped backlinking, the only change I've made is that I've diversified way more my anchor texts, around 60% non-money keywords / 40% money keywords ratio.

Business as normal. White hat before, White hat now. Manual backlinks are the only way to go.

When you speak of good links, you are still unsure what kind of links to build. if you ask me, Guest bogging is the best weapon. You can find a few guest post exchange sites. It might cost you $2-$3 per link but it's worth it.

$2-3 per links is pretty inxpensive. Could you give me an example of guest post exchange sites?

It is cheap, because people usually pay $15 per article for guest posts, and they spend lots of time to find ok blogs. So your method is qucker and cheaper.
