So a lot of people (myself included!) are/were saying that Pinterest is good for backlinks as well.
Each (re)pin is a n0follow AND a d0follow link to your site, right?
So getting a few pins with 200+ repins should give you tons of nice links, right?
Google is paying attention to 'social signals', so that should be good as well, right?
well.... I am yet to see any backlink from Pinterest being picked up by google. MajesticSEO and Ahrefs are both not showing anything either.
So I did something I should have done first thing when talking about this; disabling javascript and checking Pinterest.... -> no pins.
So it seems google isn't seeing any of those fancy d0follow links you are creating... Yet I see all kinds of Pinterest stuff/tools/services advertised as being good for SEO.
Seems plain wrong.
Any (counter) ideas? maybe someone who IS seeing backlinks from Pinterest being picked up by google?
