Are you recovering from the updates? I noticed some of indexed pages randomly disappear and appear again index and deindexed and the position in the search results are really unstable.

I am yet to recover, my pages are index but they are no where to be found in the search results. I completely stopped adding new pages to the site to see if it will recover.

From december 2022, I only partially recovered my sites (but not at the ranking of the months and years before!), and now everyday the position is bumping up and down, without any stop. SIGH!

Lol, it's crazy how they doing us. One of my website keep showing more pages are being index but now where to be found in the search.

Of the 4 most profitable pages that disappeared, 2 have been restored so far, and the keyword ranking of 1 of them has dropped by 1 position compared to before. The other 2 pages have not been restored yet.
Start by publishing some quality guest posts and niche edit backlinks, and see if these 2 disappearing pages can be restored?

nope, only slight recovery on some sites but others are still going down so at the end of the day no improvement in the last few months
You think there's an actual penalty involved, or it's just not fitting with the algorithm right now? Back in the day you used to get notified in GSC for penalties.
