Just curious how many on here are currently making money through a method either you came up with on your own, or through dumb luck stumbled upon it. Just curious who here is making money through a method YOU have yet to see someone else do, like its your own personal golden nugget.

Not asking you to reveal, just asking you to confirm or deny you use a method like this.

Thanks

I started out trying to completely do my own thing - fell on my face - thought I knew better

Then I went to the "cookbook" methods (prepackaged "make money online!" stuff, microsites, autoblogs, etc.)- these worked, but only so well (ie less than minimum wage)

From there I tweaked them - different niches, applied different traffic methods, different methods of SEO'ing - than what was being "taught" to my own creations - this has been very profitable

In my personal experience, the "mainstream methods" do work - however they get saturated with everyone trying to replicate them and that's where the tweaks help

My personal advice is focus on building positive cash flow and everything will be ok

my best methods are stuff that everyone uses. I dont believe in saturation. I believe in doing it better than the next guy. No matter how "saturated" a method is as long as you do it the best or better than the majority it can never be saturated for you.

i analyse websites for seo... send that report to general managers... they call me... i work for the website for better rankings... they pay me...

thats the cycle...

you should add another option "Both" to the poll ;)

not really :) because the question was "are you making money through a method nobody else is doing". That's really a yes or no answer. Sure, it CAN be both, but even if it is..I just want to know if you have a golden nugget in your pocket YOU and ONLY YOU know about.

YES..... and im thinkin about whether or not i should give it away and get ppl to join under me so i can reap the benefits without doing much...

the 1st day i tried this method i mad $599 to be exact.. since then ive been averaging $250 daily without having to do much except run a bot..

can I at least ask what "area" its in? adsense, affiliate sales, etc...?

Hint: It's something that was largely apart of this forum but was recently removed... Something most BH'ER start out doing.... E - * * * * *

Sent you an email requesting info on this method...Thank you in advance for your time.

either you came up with on your own, or through dumb luck stumbled upon it

I do have my own personal golden nugget (that's what I voted for on your poll). If you can believe this, I actually market to a niche that not one single other person on the entire planet markets to, and (in total) it gets me over 1,100 unique visitors a day.

As for how I came across that niche...I did what seemed like neverending work (sifting through idea after idea after idea) and then finally came across this particular niche.

Now, whether you want to call that dumb luck (which, sort of, I guess it is) go ahead. I just know that I never would have discovered it had I not worked so hard.

WOW, that is awesome dude. How do you know that NOBODY else markets to it, yet gets that MANY searches.

When I google my keywords, the only site that comes up is mine. I mean, yes, there are obviously other results for it, but I'm first.

Even if I'm not first, I'm still the only "exact match" for what that person was searching for.

As an example, if you search:

cheap apple iphone (obviously not my niche) you're going to get results that have:

cheap apple iphone <- in the title

AND

Where can I buy the cheapest apple computer that comes with an iphone <- still has the words I searched for, but not quite what the searcher was looking for

If you search the keywords from my niche, you get only the second of the two examples I just showed you. The only exact matches that come up are mine.

I'm still occasionally outranked because one of those non-exact matches has a page with a significantly higher pagerank, but I still get the traffic because my title and description are an exact match to what the searcher was looking for.

I was second in my niche... now there are 100s of sites just like mine :(

I have to agree with rocks79 spot on as far as 'canned' methods. You use those for inspiration, and build upon the core ideas you find in them. Canned methods are usually one of three things or a combination: something that dosen't work like it used to, works a little and someone wants the hopes of getting people in their downline by giving it out, and the more rare "'i'm moving on and thought you guys could use this". You'll notice there's not an option for *GOLD MINE*, canned methods never, ever are, if followed to a T. You have to add your own spin to it.

Sometimes I wonder if newcomers get sick of hearing "put your own spin on it" and "think outside the box". Something I've learned is that people will buy just about anything and a lot are very impressionable. Even if you have an idea you think might be a little retarded, it's better to act on it than sit and do nothing about it. I've been living off a retarded idea for the past 8 months. If I explained it to you, you'd swear, bet money, that it wouldn't convert for shit. Most of my more rational ideas don't convert for shit. Sometimes I think people just enjoy retarded. It's easy really, all you need is traffic, and an offer. You herd them like sheep down the path to purchase. BHW is all about making the path prettier, smoother and shorter, but the most valuable tool for that is your own mind.

Congrats! I like the way you think...

I wish you even more success.... There is no such thing as dumb luck! :)

You cannot succeed without luck. Hard work alone can only get you so far. For instance, finding a nice keyword takes hardwork, finding it before everyone else is luck.

It's kind of a double edged sword (having your own "nugget" that makes you money). Reason being, is it is an absolute certainty that eventually, your secret is going to get out. When it does, you have competition...and likely you'll end up with tons of it.

Now, when it was just your secret, it really wasn't necessary to

A:Have to work very hard &
B:Be very good at SEO or really anything else.

So when all that competition jumps on the bandwagon, you all of a sudden have to work very very hard to continue making money with that particular niche...the same amount of work you would have had to do had you tried making money originally with a niche that you know makes money but is already saturated (because that, in essence, is what your little secret is going to turn into).

At least when you start with a niche that is already saturated, and you can turn a profit marketing to it, you know you're good for the long term.

Starting out and finding your own little secret...it is only a matter of time before you find yourself not making as much money as you used to, and you're forced to find out if you're good enough/have enough knowledge to make profits in a saturated niche and it is going to be a hard pill to swallow if you are forced to find out that you are in fact not good enough or don't have enough knowledge...because then there is NO money.

I learned SEO through guides.... (Ofcourse with my twist...).

But my methods to earn money with SEO is unique

My personal method is a twist and variation on a successful, but saturated method. Just be creative and you'll be able to come up with a method no one else is using.
