As people join the forum and begin their journey within SEO and Blogging, a lot of people are stuck as to how they should start, how they should go, and how they should create content. While everybody does this differently, I thought that I would share a post with the forum as to Blogging and more importantly Niche Blogging. For those of you that don't know already, Niche Blogging is picking a specific niche so for example, cars and writing about that specific niche, answering common questions, and providing information that is directly related and supportive of that niche. The idea of doing so is that the Niche Blog becomes the answer to those questions and the first result when the topics and questions are entered into Google or Bing.
Now straight away you may ask, but why would you want to? What benefit does it provide?
Well, some Niches offer different integrations when it comes to money and making an income from your blog. For example, if you had a blog about smartphones, you have the option to integrate Amazon Affiliate links within your posts. This means that if somebody decides to purchase a phone and clicks through to do so through a link within your blog, Amazon gives you a percentage of the sale as commission for sending that customer to purchase. This is great, providing that you can get people to purchase.
Another way you can monetize your blog is to include advertisements within your site and your posts. Depending on who you use, will depend on the requirements however you can use platforms such as Google Adsense to embed advertisements within your blog and you can get paid from Google when people view and click the advertisements. This is great for those of you who already attract thousands of visitors per month to your blog.
But how do you create a Niche Blog?
The path is simple. You need a couple of things.
A Domain
Some Hosting
A Niche/Topic
Some Time
Now depending on who you use for your hosting and your domain will depend on your initial outgoings. If you select a hosting provider that is particularly expensive, you will find that when you do come to earning money from your blog, you don't make as much profit.
You can try some Cheap CPanel Shared Hosting to get you started and this is a great place to start.
Now, you don't have to worry about your site and what it looks like as you can use a basic WordPress Theme for your blog as it's only going to be displaying your posts, it's not going to be displaying any specific pages or extra information.
Once set up, all you need to do is write. Just sit and write. Aim for 30+ posts in regards to your Niche, use Google Suggest to find the questions that you need to answer and just get writing.
You can outsource your writing once you have scaled your website, however, you don't want to be outsourcing before your making money as that can quickly become a waste.
Ensure that you are indexing your posts and that you have submitted a sitemap with Google Search Console and you will be on your way very quickly.
If you can and have the resources, look at building some links to your posts and interlink between content too, however just create content, that's the important part.
