Are yahoo answers still ranking?

I am checking some keywords in google regularly and i realized that i almost never see yahoo answer sites in top 10 anymore. It used to be completely different some time ago - are YA penalized after recent penguin 2.1?

Do you have the same experience?

They still rank for lots of things. It just depends on the type of search you are doing whether they are there or not.

It depends on the strategy i was trying to rank a yahoo answers with spam and the link were stucked on the page 7th, than i added some russian links and some spam and my link went to #9.

If you really want to rank yahoo answers, social networks profiles/pages, videos and web 2.0 you will need to do churn and burn method.

I still see them in my search results every now and then. So they are still ranking after Penguin 2.1.

Well, i just dont see them in top 10 by far as often as before. They used to rank in top 10 for almost every question, now after this Hummingbird algorithm, big sites like amazon and others rank for questions even if they dont mention the exact words of a question anywhere in the title/body

Yep, they seem to be pretty invisible in the Top 10 now, compared to before.

Yahoo Answers is literally the only good thing about Yahoo. It's hilarious.

I am working for one of ORM client which bases in India. Yahoo QnA is a part of strategy as it's quickly crawled and ranked. However in these days I noticed Yahoo QnA not ranking well as earlier it was.

Like few mentioned, we need to blast hell out of a question to have some temporary ranking, that might give you quality leads as well. It is a hit or miss.

They are still ranking, im getting traffic to my niche site from a top 5 results that are from yahoo us and canada
Btw if anyone can +thumps up my comment, will apprecite that
