When I read about members in BHW using web 2.0s for backlinks they usually claim they do it to index their newest website or blog pages. So they'll create a web 2.0 blog post (say on tumblr) and then point a link to their money site, to the page they just created, then blast the tumblr post with GSA to index it, to hope their money page gets indexed.
yeah, it does work sometimes...
I thought Web 2.0's were for link juice. Do they still have value in that manner?
opinions are mixed on this. Personally, I think they don't work anymore (well, they didn't work for me 2 years ago when I last used them), but there are people on the forum who could swear they still work.
So I guess the best way is to test them yourself
Also, why do you want pages indexed so fast?
some people are desperate and need everything right away or the entire universe explodes if they don't instantly get what they want.
But other people need the content indexed fast because that content is time-sensitive (like, limited time offers, breaking news, etc.). This type of content does need to be indexed fast.
But "little DA" has nothing to do with how fast the content gets indexed. Even if it's a lot of DA it's not guaranteed to index fast (although high authority sites do get preferential treatment from google). It has more to do with how big and popular a website is. For example, this forum, being the biggest SEO forum on the planet, with millions of monthly users, indexes within a few seconds (create a thread and then copy its URL and paste it into google and you will see that it's indexed in under 1 minute).
Big, popular sites like BHW, quora, reddit, amazon, wikipedia, etc... these sites get crawled and indexed like crazy, so if you manage to make a website this big you'll reap the rewards, too. But good luck getting to these heights if you're not one of the privileged few people that has everything in life going smoothly for them
So, do you guys still use them? The ones I am starting to use and think are most important are:
blogger
tumblr
google sites
weebly
wordpress
home.blog
I only use them to diversify my backlinking profile, but I don't stress over these websites anymore. Like I said, 2 years ago I've built 40 web 2.0 links to one of my sites and in less than a month 36 links got indexed, but after 2-3 months only 8 or 9 were still indexed because either google de-indexed them for reasons that I never figured out, or the web 2.0 have deleted my content or closed my account, or my links have been nofollow'd, or the owners have closed my web 2.0 account because I didn't want to upgrade to a paid plan, and so on...
And for these many issues and considering how low value these links are I've decided not to bother with them anymore. It took me almost a week to create content for those links by the way, because I wanted to be as legit as possible so I only published manually written and well researched content with unique images (created by myself in canva), etc. And for what? Just to have my content deleted or accounts closed because I didn't want to upgrade? Nah, fuck that! From now on, I'll just pay someone on BHW $20-30 to make me 100 such web 2.0s with plagiarized content and if only 10% of the 100 web 2.0s manage to stick and get indexed I'll be happy with it. But I'm not wasting my time with these sites anymore
But like I said, some people are willing to swear on their lives that these platforms still work, so I don't know, it's up to you to make them work I guess....
