If you know how to use web 2.0 properties correctly then they are alive like you and me.
Actually they are working perfect. Also you will have to know about the fact that by only creating
those properties you wont get any affect on your rankings at all. There is a lot of other work involved.

Is there a more up to date guide for building links to web 2.0s?
In the pat I used Matthew Woodward ultimated tiered link building guide to create my web 2.0's and then to hit them with GSA/Scrapebox.
Ive not carried out this activity since late 2013/early 2014.
Does it still apply now - or is there a more up to date guide for GSA & other tools to link build to web 2.0s?

What is dead may never die.
If you stay up to date on your SEO techniques, methods, etc that work then you should know they are not dead and as far as the future goes I dont think it matters if you understand the fundamentals behind ranking on search. Pretty easy to find out what is working and what isn't.

Yes they are aaaaalllllllll dead, just like SEO, PPC, Youtube, CPA, IM in general. info products, blogging, autoblogs, niche sites, amazon review sites, PBN's, authority sites, adsense, PPV and all the other money making methods on the internet are dead, so why don't you keep flipping my burgers?
