Are we making enough $$ from 6k daily visitors?

We have an adult site that gets 6,000 unique visitors daily, 90k daily page views, 15% bounce rate, and visitors spend an average of 11 minutes on our site with approx. 12 page views per person.

We currently make about $20-$30 a day off that traffic. Though, we have read of competitors making up to $1 per unique visitor.

Originally we were using Pay Per Signup programs and were making very little money so we switched strictly to PPC programs.

Should we be making more money off our current traffic? If so, what steps should we take to monetize our traffic?

We are not really looking to increase traffic just yet (due to server / bandwidth costs) as we want to make sure we are getting every penny out of our current traffic. And despite our somewhat intrusive advertising techniques we are just not sure that we are doing that.

Are we making as much as we can or "should be" off our current traffic?

What can we do to increase our revenue without increasing traffic?

Go with a pop under ad network,as well as do a full page ad. DO NOT USE POP UPS

that's way too less. It would be better to get into ad partnership with phub and brazzers or other porn sites. Also try and provide unlimited access etc. You can easily make over $100 per day with that much of traffic.

Can you please be more specific........

We hear this all the time that we could make $100 easily but see no real suggestions on how to do that. We have tons of ads that get tons of clicks but it's only equating to $20-$30.

They are probably going by the month and or getting more visitors from higher tier nations. What is your monthly unique visitors and what countries are they coming from?

You should provide some info if you say $100 a day. "ad partnership with phub and brazzers" won't make 100$ on 6k adult traffic.

Wow! Now I don't feel so bad. I make $30 per 100 unique visitors to my site. I guess porn takes a lot more volume.

20-30$ with 6,000 unique is complete shit. The traffic isn't targeted correctly, or you don't know how to monetize traffic correctly. What's your URL? If you're curious about some ways to make more, post it so we can see what it looks like.

Your ads are in the wrong place, you need some at the top on homepage and side bar on both homepage and page of videos. And btw you need to put a 2257.

The first 4 thumbnails on the homepage ARE advertisements. Ads appear at the top over EVERY page (whether they look like ads or not....)

Sorry - I meant Phub and brazzers have their own ad pricing. but nevermind. The onething which everyone operates on and something which i recently did for a adult site was incorporating access (subscriptions).

Let's say that you show videos. Show them a little porn and then bring a popup of paid membership of something like $1 per month etc. Just sticking to same old popups, popunders etc. is too outdated IMO. Also popups turn away traffic. Keep it clean and make a membership site.

The last suggestion is to get leads through banners and sell them or directly forward to dating sites like adultfriendfinder etc. When someone signs up you get commission. Even if you could get 10-12 signups you can go over $100 per day. It's not rocket science.

Your traffic is good. The bounce rate is low, time spent is less. This means it is not a video portal. But still you can get atleast 1% conversion IMO from pics site also. But keep changing from leads to membership etc. Or keep both

Sorry didn't realize that,then you just need a sidebar one and the 2257 warning. Even if you don't want some side ads, you really should at least do the 2257 warning.

We tried niched marketing with Pay per signup ads for months and made jack squat. We had populated our database with sampler videos and provided an affiliate link but no one was signing up (despite thousands of click throughs). The sampler videos were popular but no one wanted to pay any money for porn they can download for free with torrents.

PPC is the only method that produces and money.

You are being under cut in a big way. I would recommend you check out an adult webmaster forum. You could probably make some decent cash from ad placements. I would think that you need to ramp up the ways to monetize.

I'm sorry to say that 6k/day is absolutely peanuts in the adult game, how much it's worth will (obviously) VERY much depend on what traffic it is and what kws, if you have very specific dating/cam keywords that they are coming in with, it will be worth some bucks yes.

But general adult traffic? 6k/day will earn you a few bucks left and right, most people here are confusing this with mainstream, where 6k/day can earn you alot more.

looking at your site, it's a tube, 6k/day tube traffic isn't worth a damn...sorry, the people here who say you can get 100$/day with that have obviously no clue whatsoever about the adult industry.

LOL, try 0.002% with high quality traffic, and thats good.

I want to see anyone doing 1% conversion on a tube/tgp....i'd hire him yesterday.

Hey mate.

You should defiantly try a mixture of juicyads, aff's affiliate network (this is most likely the $1 per unique visitor your competitors are talking about as it gives you up to $1 per unique visitor if 100% of clicks convert into signups to that network), linkbucks's full page script (made me a good dollar with my old forum) and aaw's banners along with other high paying cpm networks like trafficrevenue (however they may redirect or give your users viruses hence the $3+ cpm).

You could also try privately selling traffic in the form of a popunder on large forums. This is by far your best option considering you get 12 pageviews per user so you can offer 6k uniques per day to 12 different websites. or better yet run this in combination with all of the above.

I would be surprised if you were earning anything less than $50 with these monetisation methods.

Not trying to burst your bubble here, but if i would have earned 50$ for every 6k tube uniques, i'd be a multimillionaire right now.
