Are unique payment accounts actually needed in dropshipping today?

I’m trying to understand how the dropshipping world handles payment setups in 2025. Specifically: do you guys still need unique accounts for different stores or ad setups, and if yes — in which situations?
By “unique,” I mean accounts that are tied to clean, isolated cards so every profile looks legitimate and unrelated to anything else. Some niches used to rely heavily on this, but I’m not sure how things look now.
I’d like to hear real cases from active dropshippers:
• Where do you still need unique accounts today?
• For what platforms or workflows?
• What problems do unique cards actually solve for you now?
• And in what scenarios do they no longer matter?
Whoever drops the most relevant use case or idea — I’ll issue you a card with any balance you need and zero commission on my side. Just want to better understand what the market actually uses today.
Looking forward to your insights.

Unique accounts still matter mainly for running multiple ad accounts safely and keeping risk isolated on platforms like Meta or TikTok but for stable compliant stores one verified setup is often enough now

Unique payment accounts are still essential today in high-risk or multi-store dropshipping operations . Unique cards solve problems such as avoiding chain-reaction bans from chargebacks or policy violations. They are no longer relevant in scenarios involving stable, low-risk, single-store setups that comply fully with platform policies, where a single verified account is sufficient for seamless, uninterrupted processing.

Yes, unique payment accounts are still critical for specific high-risk scenarios. They prevent payment processor bans and ad account shutdowns from spreading. If one account gets flagged, your entire business isn't jeopardized.
