    Hey all,

I'm thinking of buying a twitter account with 50k followers. I've tried it once and it seems useful (sent some good traffic). But I'm not sure if it's a hard work to keep the reach like this or something? I've never used twitter before (neither personally nor for business) so I have no idea.

    What do you think?

A Twitter acct with 50k real followers is great and can send you some good traffic, but a niche targeted Twitter account with 50k real followers could be a gold mine. You can get 1,000's of hits daily and make some serious bank if the followers are targeted to your niche. This kind of account will not be cheap though, so if you check the account out and make sure it is legit, and its a good deal, grab it up and start making money! Good luck OP

Hey all, thanks for your replies :)

The followers are real for sure. Any idea how much is it worth? And the big question is, do I have to do anything in order to keep the reach higher (like the situation on Facebook)?

An acct with 50k real followers could go anywhere from $100-$1,000 IMO, depending on the kind of interactions that it gets. And again make sure that the followers are real. With 50k+ real followers every tweet should be getting at least 30-50 retweets and/or favourites, and not retweets from fake accts LOL

For 50k real followers you'll be paying at the very least $500. And it'll take work to grow it but it won't really take any work to maintain it.

Google 'fake followers' and visit the website ranked 1st. You can log in with any of your accounts and then type in the name of the Twitter account in question. It's not 100% accurate, but it's near enough. Look at the results it spits out and common sense takes care of the rest.

Look at the number of retweets it gets. Tweets with links in, naturally get fewer, but for 50,000 followers, you'd expect tweets to get about 60-70 RTs. If it's only getting like 10-11, I'd be suspicious. This doesn't mean you'll get that amount though, as it depends on the subject and also how many real followers they have, which you'll have a good idea of by now.

As for price. It varies. I'd be offering between $250-500 if it's a decent account, but only if it relates to what you want to tweet.

No point buying a twitter account on gardening, when you're wanting to tweet jokes.

I've got over 2 million followers now, but I've only ever bought 1 account and that was for the name - it had about 80 followers, but now has over 300,000. If it's a good username then that effects the value too.

Warning: When some people sell accounts they'll do a RT/Tweet for you but then RT it to their larger accounts to make it look like you're getting your monies worth. I had someone mail me asking for $300 for an account that had over 100,000 followers. I did the Fake Follower check and 77% were fake! Their follower count then started dropping and is now about 60,000 and still dropping. He did a RT for me, but noticed other accounts kept being mentioned in the replies, so knew it was those accounts that he'd used to RT as well to bump it up. So there's several things to look out for.

You are right ... Most of the time people sell fake followers ..
Thats why price is low for them.

To get real followers it takes much time and costs lot more than fake ones..
Its better to market your own twitter account and get real followers .. so you can gain what you are intending to get.

im thinking about getting such an account.. your responses seem helpful. But how much traffic could a site gain from a twitter account with 20k-30K followers tweeting articles from the main website ?

That's impossible to answer to be honest. There's so many factors to take into account.

I don't think 20-30k would bring in all that much really, but it would depend on the timezone of the audience and tweeting when it's busiest.

As everyone has already mentioned, do check if the followers are real. Google it up and you'll find some tool for it. If they are real then go for it ! Twitter is a great tool for marketing.

I see. I was about to pay for an account with 20K followers.
To be honest im not looking to break bank with earnings, but i'd like to make a decent 10$ a day from traffic to my site(which is under-construction) which currently has zero visitors. So im reading stuff as to how much of traffic i'll need to pull in for my initial goal.

    As always thanks guys !
