Are TikTok Hashtags Still Effective?

Hi everyone,
Do hashtags still help TikTok videos reach more people, or is content quality more important now?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I think hashtags still help with categorization and discovery but i would not rely on them to carry a video strong content watch time and viewer engagement seem much more important for reaching a wider audience.

i believe that the hashtags are still useful for providing context nd making videos more searrchable but hashtags are not that reach button anymore. a good hook, watch time nd engagement look way more important at this point. i would use a couple of hashtags related to my video instead of putting too many of them in.
 
Hashtags still help a bit with context and discovery, but they won’t save a weak video.

I’d use a few relevant ones and focus more on the hook, watch time, and shares.
 
They can help a little but Tiktok's algorithms seems to prioritise engagement and content quality over hashtags.
 
using of hashtag is nice but if you have a great content and still didnt use it i believe it will still go viral but hashtag helps to find a specific post more faster
 
From what I’ve seen, hashtags are more of a supporting factor now. I use a few that are closely related to the content, but the hook and retention usually have a much bigger impact on reach.
 
Hashtags will still play their role somewhat in context//research, although I would not be expecting hashtags to make a poor video go very far. The hook, time spent watching, re-watching and engagement are carrying the load.

the hashtag has started to function less like a growth hack nd more as a label. the hashtags can assist in explaining the subject to tiktok but it seems like the actual quality of the video nd rettention are much more important.
 
hi i think in my experience the good content matters more because the hashtags can help a little but they are not the main factor.
 
Content quality with graphics are needed to attract viewers,trending hashtags add on upload videos are needed to get upload presentation on trend pages of the hash for target niche/page traffics to engage.
 
TikTok's algorithm has evolved. The importance of content quality and precise strategy now far outweighs that of hashtags themselves.
 
I have had videos do well with barely any hashtags, so I definitely would not make them the main strategy.

Hashtags help with SEO and niche targeting but content quality matters more. Use a few tags for algorithm context but focus more on content quality to reach more people on the FYP.
 
Hashtags can help people find your video, but I don’t think adding lots of them will make a weak video perform well.
