Are these wiki websites any good for backlinks?

I saw some of my competitors having backlinks from these 2 websites: site:eqnextwiki.com and site:gigswiki.com
It looks like they bought them from a backlinks service, but they even aren't indexed.
Are these wikis good as tier 1 links? Also if they are not indexed, should another tier of backlinks be used to point to them?

I have no access to SEO tools anymore, so I can't check them properly. However, from experience I can tell you that - with the exception of Wikipedia - most wiki backlinks are pretty useless as tier 1.

Of course, this doesn't mean that if you get these links you're going to get penalized, it just means that they're not very strong so they usually don't provide enough ranking power
 
Most of such websites are filled with spam, spammy link profile and basically no traffic at all,
You'll be creating links that will barely get indexed neither bringing much of link juice,
It's basically some sort of link farm not worth the effort neither time, not worth overall
 
Content shouldn't be spam and irrelevant, website quality is also important. If any is not in this region. This will affect your site ranking badly
 
I suspect those wikis are run specifically for certain backlink submission tools to submit to. Either Money Robot, SEO autopilot or SEO NEO. They run crops of web2.0 sites, wikis, bookmarking sites and more.

Wiki backlinks are good for the website
 
Based on my knowledge, Getting backlinks from wiki websites might be a good decision, But its always depends on the niche relevance to your site, Quality of content they have and authority of the website. And also I suggest you to not blindly depend on Wiki website backlinks focus on other types of backlinks as well, Which will help you
 
It is risky, especially if they're not indexed by search engines. It's best to avoid using them as top-tier links. Instead, focus on getting links from trustworthy sites that are indexed for better results.
 
Obviously you can take this backlink from Wikipedia as it is a high authority site which will increase the visibility of your website if used.
 
It's not worth the money and effort you put, instead you can get backlinks from other quality traffic sites from your niche
