extremereselling - I'm partnered with these guys, I have a Canon EOS 60D up for sale on eBay for $899.. they said I get 20% from that sale, so around $180 I'll be making. They say they get their shit from a wholesaler in Japan. I'm just wondering if any of you have ever partnered with these guys and if they can be trusted or not, thanks!

Domain is less than a month old, website looks like it was made by an amateur, and it sounds too good to be true...

    I'd stay away from it.

I have no personal experience with them, but I have enough with eBay and scammers alike. Just be careful is all the advice I can give you, read through the shit list threads here. You will see more than a few people who have been scammed by dropshippers. Either because the product does not match the real thing or because delivery takes too long. Also, be wary since most likely you will have to pay them their cut directly after you get paid from eBay. However, if a person opens up a dispute it will be with your paypal, and not with theirs.

The reason that I want to believe it's legit is from this thread... Fuck nevermind, not able to post URL's on BHW.. Stupid. But it does seem really believable but at the same time if it's a scam.. I'm fucked. I think.

Did they say they are from the UK (Scotland)?
If so they are a scam, they want you to pay them via western union before the funds clear in the paypal accout

I don't even wanna look at their site.

It is NEVER a good idea to sell something that doesn't belong to you. Yes, there are legit drop shippers out there. But not many and the margin is small and you still have the workload. All you do is create sales for them.

As for your deal here: I think you already know the answer or you would not have asked.

My advise: Tell them to deliver the goods first and when your customer is happy you will send over the balance. They will , of course, not go for that.

Do the smart thing and end the listing.

I don´t agree 100 % that the margin is always small. What I have seen regarding drop shipping, is that besides you marketing and promoting the product itself, another workload is to find the right products from the right vendor. If you have a very small margin, you end up with nothing, or you might get substitute revenue/profit from other products, which makes you break even and make profit, and thus you keep on selling the products with very little margin for some other reason than the profit it brings you. I once read something called the basic steps of drop shipping, and one very important rule is, that no matter if you take care of your supply chain in the form of drop shipping, you still need a business plan, you cannot just put up an online store and take the whole inventory of one specific drop shipper without any thought about what will you sell and to whom. That will almost definitely fail. First you need to know what you want to do, what products do you want to offer and to whom, and then find an appropriate and reputable supplier for you. You need a strategy for the sales and marketing.

I agree with you that there are bunch of less-legit drop shippers, especially offshore, but you simply need to know your way around here.

I disagree that you only create sales for them, since the customer will have no idea (this is at least how it should work) that the ordered item came from the drop shipper, but it should say that it came from you. Thus that is no lead for the drop shipper as such, since you might be able to source the same product from somewhere else. You are the one who got the customer, and the customer only knows you. However, you don´t have any capital in the stock, so you don´t have risk here.

A couple of drop shippers I have dealt with do care about their reputation, and I haven´t experienced any issues with them. What makes the customer pay his bill once he has received the goods? I mean, that would be the "normal" case, but there are scammers here as well.

This is a scam 100%.Why do people still fall for that?Nobody pays 20% on such highpriced items, you can be lucky if you'd get 5% or less.
