Such as SEO backlink creator tools or social media bots like SenukeX or Followliker or Tweet Attacks etc.?

These kind of things were so popular at the time. But with the change, I don't think these are effective anymore.

Yeah, exactly. Those tools were everywhere back in the day, but Google’s algorithm updates and stricter social platform policies have basically killed their effectiveness. Most of them just end up being a waste of time or worse, can get you penalized now. Organic strategies are where it’s at today.

You're right! tools like SenukeX or Followliker used to work, but now they don't. Social platforms and Google can easily detect spammy automation, which can hurt your rankings or even get your accounts banned. Focusing on real content, genuine engagement, and quality backlinks works much better today.
 
I see a competitor's website ranking recently in the Top 3, previously rotated Top 5-10.

Since mid-September, they have added some content, and semrush now reports thousands of comment spam links made from September 15th on. These are on sites that also say XRumer in the comment, so I'm assuming this is an XRumer feed since it's all comments. Seems to be working very well. Scratching my head on how this can work in 2025.
 
Not comfortable with that topic. Safer wins come from authority content, outreach platforms, and real partnerships.
 
Yeah, bro, most of those old-school tools like SenukeX and Followliker don’t really work well now that algorithms got smarter.
These days, I only pay for tools that still give ROI, like ScrapeBox (for data scraping & footprints) and GSA SER (if used carefully with filters).
But overall, it’s smarter now to mix automation + manual work instead of going full black hat like before.
 
I still see some people paying for black hat tools, but the ROI is really low and risky.
 
i still pay for proxies, a good anti detect browser and a private index. those save time and keep accounts safer. dont buy every shiny tool, test small and keep only what actually works.
 
Only good mobile proxies for me, still essential for most setups.
 
I don’t use or pay for black-hat tools, I prefer steady, long-term growth instead.
 
Search engines and social platforms are much smarter now, so automated spam bots and backlinks are mostly ineffective and can even negatively affect your site or accounts.
 
Those tools are dead. Senuke/Tweet Attacks-era automation worked pre-Penguin; today Google & socials ignore or penalize it. Spam links = zero value or negative SEO. Only light automation (outreach, content, scheduling) still works. Modern SEO is authority, content, and real links not blasts.
 
Old SEO and social media bots like SenukeX, FollowLiker, and Tweet Attacks are mostly obsolete now. Google and social platforms are much smarter at detecting spam and unnatural patterns, so these tools risk penalties or bans. Today, quality and relevance matter more than quantity, and safe strategies focus on genuine content, real backlinks, and authentic engagement rather than automated mass actions.
