Most of the articles on ezine are very bad quality (that i have read). Are there any sites with stricter submission guidelines that might give better link juice? I'm sure google realizes that ezinearticles is full of crap.

In my opinion it is the best one in General. Of course you may find some better article directories which are focused only on a specified subject. But when talking about a quality place where everyone can register to market something or build links I think EA still the better place. A lot of traffic and there are a lot of good articles from real writers.

I do a lot of reading of articles on ezine and many are total crap. But I have just realised I have a Buzzle account I have never posted too as that only accepts uniques. So that seems a good alternative for now. Still hoping for something with better standards though as I have read some crap on Buzzle too.
How about ehow, suite 101 and those sites? worth signing up for just to get one or two niche relevant links from?

Better can mean many things...

Best content (typically): Buzzle since it's unique.

Best syndication: Ezinearticles

Best click throughs: Ezinearticles closely followed by Articlebase

Google isn't advanced enough to discount a link because of the "quality" of content on a page. That's just too much thinking.

Since you can submit to Ezine and 100s of other places for links, you might as well hit them all and get diversity.

With articlebase you can have your articles auto-approved after submitting a number of articles. This is a huge time saver, which is why I'd say go with articlebase.

Unless I wasn't paying attention and ezine has this feature as well.

Articles Base is no follow and they auto accept any old crap. This thread is about looking for something which accepts quality content and therefore possibly provides links with more value.

Just signed up for suite101, which looks good (I've never read anything too badly written on this site). Was even asked for sample content before they accepted me.

buzzle.com has very strict submission guidelines, and in my opinion it's better than ezine for link juice.

Yeah I already use and like squidoo. I have only been using goarticles for duplicate crap so I wouldn't consider them good. A search for internationalarticle brought up nothing on google so that can't be too good either:D

So far in my hunt I have decided to use suite101 (auto approve but needs to be good). Have also joined Self Growth which looks excellent for anything to do with health/self help/improvement. And buzzle and ezine. I'm still in the hunt for other good sites as I won't be dropping same anchor text more than once on those sites.

ArticleBase is a PR6, I consider that pretty damn good quality. nofollow or follow should not be a major concern of yours. Your concern should be building a diversity of backlinks including no follow links.

hubpages is one of my favorites right next to ezine articles. Good stuff really.

Seems like google may have put some smack down on Ezine and articlesbase today? Quite a few articles have dropped off the face of pg1 on google recently...

Buzzle is the one that seems to still be sticking above the #5 spot on the first page.

Anyone else have any insight about this?
