Similar to Shopify but free and even simpler? I have a product to sell, yes, just one product, so I don't want to use Shopify. While it offers high customization, it's complex and not free. Any recommendations?

Yes, but you need to purchase hosting and deal with the code issue. What I mean is a website that is really quick, just a few clicks, and the shop can go online.
 
As you have only one product to sell, you may consider using a platform like Gumroad. You can try Square Online, WooCommerce (WordPress Plugin), or Ecwid.

Square is not bad for one product to sell, but if you want custom domain, you have to pay subscriptions too. Based on my experience, Wordpress and WooCommerce are actually the best option considering the small investment you need to put in is only for hosting and domain.

As far as I know, Gumroad can help you sell digital products without the need to buy hosting. Also, you can think about Sellfy, which is similar to Gumroad.
