Are there any services actually working?

Umm is really hard to know which seo services work. In my opinion if you are trying to rank easy/mid keywords you will have to try a few cheap services before you finally start ranking. On the other hand if your niches are hard you will have to be more careful with your money and just make sure that what the companies/threads are selling makes sense to you. Is not guarantee you will not lose money but, for the most part of the service is "high end" you should at least get some results from all of the services you try.

Its been said a 100 times before, but here it is a again: these services are just 1 tool in the toolbox. You can't expect to buy 'em and rank blindly. Sure, it can work once or twice, but that's no way to work.

You need to understand why this service is good for you and you need to buy it only because you don't have the time/skills/resources to do what this service is doing. That's outsourcing, you gotta know how to use it and turn a profit.

Did you take a look at T0mmy? He is offering quit good monthly subscription plans, check it out ;)

If you want to hire any seo company than search on google very competitive keywords if any company is appearing on many competitive keywords than their service should be good otherwise if any company which is itself unable to get ranking in search engine than its not easy for them to bring your site on the first page.

The issue is, most people here aren't truly updated with SEO of today. They want fast ranking in 30days meanwhile it's going to depend on the approach. If the provider have established links in your market that's a different thing otherwise it's going to take a while to lookup and acquire. Also, it's no longer about quantity but quality. And when you say quality, 85% of people still can't differentiate between good links and poor links. Cost is another thing, SEO is an expensive business, if you think $150 is a good budget for SEO then you must be dreaming. Want to know what works, use contextual links with little OBL, relevant to your site and get links from home page links. Blog network falls under the low category of links that's why you see your site ranking on Yahoo & Bing and not Google. Google has a more responsive algo.

Good way to get sales for your buddy. How much commission are you two getting from him? :)

Lol sorry to disappoint you nub, your quite mistaken :) see the thing is when you provide good services consistently over the years people will naturally start recommending you (those 3 are all past clients btw), it's called word of mouth son it's how a lot of businesses thrive ya know? so take your bs conspiracy crap else where! ;)

syzygy, virilex and ramanan thank you for the votes of confidence! Pity about the idiot above, that's the problem with this place say something nice about someone and you've got an alterier motive, rediculous.

You seem like you want everything the easy way. You know how I know what works and what does not? I have tested them. I now know if I put a + b + c together with a website which is about d, I know that it will rank. When d disappears, I start again, but I use this on a mass scale, there is not just website d.

If you're looking for a 100% autopilot SEO ranking service on the BST then you're gonna be looking for a while.

There are lots of great services on here, but I would NEVER recommend to just make a site and buy a few services and wait to rank..

SEO is about thousands of different factors and you've got to know what you're doing.. Take this analogy:

If you go into a garage you can buy all the different parts to make an engine, but what is a clutch without gears..

Same goes for SEO, you can buy individual parts that are GREAT if you combine them and know how to use them..

But then again, if you just buy a few pistons and a gas peddle you're gonna be a long way off a working car..

W130SN made a good point. You need to establish communication and find out how knowledgeable the provider is, if that's possible at all of course. And more importantly - to determine their attitude towards you. Biggest problem with most services on BHW is that you're treated as a dollar bill and not as a person. As a simple example - after-sale service is something totally unknown for lots of sellers, otherwise essential in marketing/sales in general.

On the other hand, if a service works for someone and their website it doesn't mean it'll work for you too. Too many factors to consider behind that. This is where you need to make sure your service can be customized, well researched and flexible to fit it according to your specific needs, considering you're going for a long-term service.

P.S. @tOmmy - No offense, but you're just another great example to support my claims above. Your service MAY work for some people but the fact that you're an ignorant "nub" has always made me stay away from your services even though I've made lots on purchases on here. Pretty sure a number of people feel the same way. Insulting other members for no real reason, or even worse - trying to discredit other members' services (yeah we all saw that poor attempt before) speaks well enough for a low business and human ethics. Not someone I'd trust with my money.

OP, you need to have a plan regarding your link building, what link type do i want to my money site, guest blogging, high pr whatever, you need to find out the type of links you want, then find provider that suit your plan. Do I want a tier links? do I need guest blog links? do I need high pr links? all of these, you need to have in place, and follow your plan.

Example, you get a client with brand new website, with no backlinks history, but thought yeah I can throw 100 high pr links to their site and that should cover it all. They should be ranking on page 1 already. There is more to link building.

remember because you bought a service this month with no improvement doesnt mean there isnt going to be one. Again having a plan is the best to go.

I had some very good results with some of the services here and very bad with one seller.Look for service that offer guaranteed rankings(some of them does) and check reviews before buying.

This is true, BSTs are just tools to use.. You can buy hammers, nails and hardwood but if you don't know how to construct a house nothing will happen..

Same is true with BSTs. If you don't have a plan then you're not doing SEO and SEO is definitely NOT done buy just throwing X amount of money at someone to rank your site for you..

If there really was an all in one plan for $200 that would rank a site with no other involvement then why would the service provider not just rank 100 of their own sites and make a load of money?

BSTs offer specialized services, sure everyone of them says that they'll 'rank' your site. But that is assuming you're using their BST as part of a bigger strategy, and may well be true if you implement everything correctly. Choose what you need: web2.0s, comment backlinks, .edu and then find a supplier..

Quite misleading. Guaranteed rankings? There's no such thing. Reviews? Yes, a common sense would help you get a better judgement yet tons of reviews on here are faked or demanded.

I guess it's okay for people to speak their mind, but shouldn't they do it in a nice and polite way? I'm sure smart people can do that. :)
