Agreed with the quote below. The biggest here being that Google doesn't update their searches within the hour (especially for such targetted keywords / low volume like these). The idea behind this concept is to the the FIRST person to answer a Quora question before anyone else so that you get more exposure and a higher chance of being Upvoted.

I don't see why you couldn't, but when you want accuracy and speed a dedicated bot will pretty much always win. Even a few minutes delay can mean the difference between being the first to answer or not, and the alerts really aren't too accurate (search "Google Alerts missing" and you'll find all kinds of complaints/articles/etc. about it), which means you might be missing some easy targets. So, sure, you can go that route, but if alerts were super reliable then other monitoring services wouldn't really need to exist.

Thank you very much for the encouraging words. Now I'm just trying to find a cheap writer that can pass their quality tests - but Upwork is not looking too optimistic (was hoping for $1/100 words).

Additionally, the digest is only sent once a day, so its not good for being first to get in and answer a question quickly.
