a few years ago someone went to 150k in 6 months by targeting only keywords with 0 search volume, they've shared the case study on BHW, you can look it up if you want. But I assume you're interested in recent cases only, so have a look around the journeys section:

Thanks!
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/j...w-website-to-50-000-visitors-a-month.1277740/apparently it's 50k visitors a month, not 150k, I don't know why I remembered 150k...
yeah, I'd take that too... But I had to correct myself for transparency and stuffif your starting at 0, most people will still take 50k

I don't see where the luck is. It's been said time and time again that if you get your keyword research right you can rank without backlinks. Of course, you can't keep the rankings forever if you have no backlinks, but you can ride the success wave for a few good months (even years in some cases). You could say that this is where the luck is, but then again, if you do get your keyword and niche research right it's mostly on your research than luckunfortunately he was pretty lucky because after reading his journey.
1. he did 0 backlinks , all of this was pure seo content and him writing articles.
2. he did target low volume keywords in his articles some of them even had 0 traffic . that makes me think maybe when he ranked for them he got authority from google and maybe started to rank on other terms as well
3. he did have very good CTR like 9% which I think probably also helped.
to be honest im curently at 5k visitors which I did alone.
I mean without backlinks I guess probably it was low competition for sure.I don't see where the luck is. Anyway, that was the only case that I knew of, sorry if it didn't help.

I don't remember what he's done and I'm not going through the thread all over again, but knowing how SEO works I'd say that he must have included those keywords in the content, otherwise I don't see how he could have ranked for themanother questions regarding keywords research,
lets say he found the right keywords ,
is it a mix of those keywords included in title ? tag ? h1 ? or body?
When u say targeting long tail keywords , u mean via content or also the anchors in link building ?I personally grew a niche blog from 0 to 30k monthly visits in about a year. Key was a mix of long-tail keyword targeting and consistent, quality content. Started with low competition keywords, gradually moved to more competitive ones. Diversify your content types too - videos, infographics, etc.
