Right OK, thanks for that. Have just spent some time here reading threads about it, wondering it it might be useful for myself easing back into things, potentially via aff programs.

What about the link issues that Invictus alluded to above? Can they be overcome?
 
There's quite a few threads here stating that Pin is good for affiliate marketing.
Hmmm.. the plot thickens.

Affiliate links don't work directly on Pinterest as it is not allowed to post affiliate links on your pins. You can, however drive traffic to your website and put the affiliate links there for people to buy.

pinterest is not restricted only to blog marketing. pinterest can be very effective in terms of affiliate marketing, ecommerce, digital products nd even services. pinterest would be best considered a visual search enggine nd not a regular social platform.
 
Absolutely. I would use Pinterest to create topics that drive high intent traffic specifically visitors ready to buy to target websites like Etsy or Amazon, this is a way to generate stable, long term income.

there are more affiliate program that can be promote with your bio link on Pinterest and post quote which include Amazon affiliate and other content locking website and need to know your traffics interest to run best affiliate program for fast convert.
