Are the Premium WordPress templates more customizable?

I've played around a little with the free WordPress sites and they seem difficult to customize...the color of the menu's, stuff like that...plus their just vanilla. If I pay for a template will I be able to manipulate everything?

There's one template I saw while surfing that I really like but I can't figure out what it is...MODERATOR, can I post a link to it here and have you guys check it out to see if anyone can recognize the template / theme?

All wordpress themes are just as easy to customize -- if you play in the css files and add your choice of plugins to them. If you cant do that, then usually a premium theme will have more option for customization in the admin section then a non premium theme would. That said, if you go install Firebug on your browser(Firefox that is) you can look and see where the css to change the color of an item comes from, so you can change it yourself.

The nice thing about firebug and a bit of css and html knowledge, you can edit themes to make them do what you want == which isnt always what the developer of the theme wanted them to do!

Find the design that you want, and customize it.

Some of the themes are now offering drag and drop design, but it generates some trash codes.

I suggest learn to use the inspect element of google chrome and some basic html and css.

Pretty much agree with you.

Some premium templates are more user friendly than others. The one that I happen to like is Enfold. It's one of Themeforest's top themes and the "Avia Layout Builder" is awesome. I'm newer to WP and have experimented with many, it's definitely in my top 3. I believe I have posted it here, if not I would gladly post it if you want to try it out.
