So I'm new to the whole autoblogging thing and so far I have about 300 autoblogs. I'm using some plugins to help me build backlinks but ever since I started using them I started noticing comments on my blogs saying thanks for the info...etc but under their name is a plugged URL to their website. Essentially they are backlinks that others are creating on my site to benefit themselves right? Do they benefit me too? Should I delete them?

Delete them. They are spamming your blog to get the backlinks & higher rankings in search engines so don't worry and delete comments such as "nice post thank you for the info", "i found your blog on yahoo and it's amazing" or "thank you i'm bookmarking your website" and so on... My best solution for this is close the comments :p

If it's a new blog, I go through all the comments that could be relevant to your post and approve them, but then delete there link lol.

It just makes other visiters to the site think the blog is active with other members and might encourage them to join in and leave a post!

sometimes when I'm bored I go to my blogs and approve spammy comments and remove links from them, that way blog looks alive and I'm not wasting linkjuice :)

If comments aren't that big of a deal in relation SEO and whatnot I might just end up disabling them because if I were to delete them or modify I'd have to go in to ~300 backends and manually delete them unless theres an easier way to go about doing this. Theres no way of seeing all my comments from my entire cluster is there? I think I'm asking for too much heh. :D
