How important are tags when it come SEO? Does Google actually like them in this day in age? Let me know your feedback

Tags dont seem to have the same impact they used to. I’d put more effort into content quality and structure.
Tags are more of a site-organization tool than an SEO lever. Used sparingly they help readers navigate related posts, but they don't directly boost rankings, and over-tagging can create lots of thin, near-duplicate archive pages that actually hurt you. My rule of thumb: only create a tag if you'll realistically have several solid posts under it, and noindex the tag archives if they're thin.

Tags have very little direct impact on Google rankings today, so they aren't a major SEO factor. They can still help organize your content and improve user navigation, but creating useful, high-quality content is far more important for SEO.

Tags do not carry much SEO weight anymore. Google does not reward a site simply for using them. That said, they can still be useful for organizing content and improving internal navigation when used properly. The key is to avoid creating lots of thin or duplicate tag pages, as they can waste crawl budget. In most cases, you will get far better SEO results by focusing on quality content, a logical site structure, and strong internal linking.

SEO tags are basically dead for Google rankings. If you do use them, keep them minimal so you don't accidentally create duplicate content issues!

It still have impact. But not much. You should focus more on Content quality and interlinking.

Tags have very little direct impact on SEO today. If used well, they can improve site organization and internal linking, but creating lots of thin tag pages can do more harm than good. I usually keep tags limited and focus more on content quality, categories, and internal links.

Tags are not very important for SEO by themselves. I mainly use them to organize related content for visitors. Good content, clear site structure, and internal linking usually have a much bigger impact.

I use tags mainly for website organization, not as an SEO strategy. They are helpful, but not something to depend on for rankings.

ahmm tags can help organize your content and make it easier for visitors to find related posts but they are not a direct google ranking factor.
Using a few clear and relevant tags is fine, but adding too many or creating lots of similar tag pages can confuse search engines and add little value. so focus more on writing helpful content using good keywords naturally and building a clear site structure since those have a much bigger impact on seo.

I still use tags, but not for the sake of ranking, but more for organizing content and creating quality content. They seem to have very limited impact these days compared to the quality of the content and the structure of the site. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had different results.
