I have a feeling that subscribers we get through Shorts are not loyal. They are just scrolling random feed on YouTube for fun and not interested in any particular creator. Do you agree?

Shorts subs are more like warm leads or a newsletter subscriber. They can't really know you much from <1min.
If they have several hundred+ subscriptions then your long form may not make their feed unless it is hitting their direct interests or trending topics.
Faceless shorts/channels have almost 0 loyalty.

Yes bro, they may come to you because of the impression of your video and subscribe out of curiosity. But the content then gradually loses engagement. Unlike subscriptions that come from long videos posted.

The commitment to watch a Shorts video is smaller than a long form video. Therefore sub commitment to the channel is lower as well.
Long form content will get you "true" fans.
