I just wanted to know if "buying" Facebook shares and likes and Instagram likes and comments hav an effect on a website's SEO or not?

I would say that Facebook shares and likes yes. Instagram likes no. Instagram comments maybe if they include your domain name. Im not sure if Instagram comments are even indexed or crawled, and im also not sure if domains are allowed to be posted in Instagram comments with the tld attached.

My reason for this is because Facebook has a webpage likes counter which is publicly visible. Every like and share your domain gets on Facebook counts as a Facebook webpage like.

Thats where all those Facebook like and share counters you see on many websites pull the number from - directly from Facebook.

On the other hand i dont think you can even put an Instagram like button on your website and display how many Instagram likes your website already has.

Sure you can probably put some "artificial" Instagram like button on your site and even a counter that will show how many times that button has been clicked before. But that would all be bs. May look nice, but its not real.

So hypothetically a search engine could look at Facebook developer tool and see how many likes/shares your website has on Facebook. A search engine cannot do that for Instagram, as Instagram doesnt offer that kind of thing.

And thats that :)

Effective in what? To boost SEO? I don't think so.

Don't remember of a single time when I saw a keyword ranking boost after getting social media sharing. I know I know, people sell these services under the garb of "making things look natural," but really it doesn't matter. You are better of saving that $9 to buy one PBN link than go for a " Get 9000+ EPIC/MEGA/MONSTER GAGAGA Facebook Shares"

Maybe if the website has a counter of some sort showing how much likes a article or shares it has then there is a possibility.
