I've started at a company 3 months ago building carpet cleaning websites.
I have to build a TON of these so have been shall we say... cutting a few corners.
Since starting I haven't set up so much as a single sitemap for any of my sites
one in particular jumped right to the second page of Google for the term "carpet cleaning in Baltimore" once it got crawled by Google
Baltimore has a population of almost a million people
seems to me that sitemaps are irrelevant now
or maybe they are just irrelevant if you are using wordpress?
What are all your thoughts on this?
