Been testing some 500–700 word blog posts lately and noticed they index faster and get long tail traction easier. Might be Google favoring quick answers again. Anyone else seeing better results with short content after the recent updates?

Yes, short posts are gaining traction again. They index faster and grab long-tail keywords easier. Looks like Google prefers quick, clear answers now. A lot of people have been seeing better results with shorter content lately.

yeah short posts hittin lately. google prob vibin with fast reads again. if it’s clean and hits the intent, it’s def getting picked up quicker
 
With AI, google can now understand posts better. So, they are preferring direct answers that serve user intent. If users want a yes or no, there is no need to write a 5k words article. You can sum it up within 400-500 words.
 
I recently noticed that too, short posts tend to rank higher and better on search engines.
 
Yeah, I've been seeing that too-seems like google's leaning back toward quick, straight to the point content again.
