Hello folks,

I want to put share to download ebook on my website... So I'm planning to use OnePress Social Locker..

In the past Facebook already stated that fb won't allow people to like a page to get content... What about share my website (not fanpage) to download ebook? Will my domain get banned on facebook?

According to Facebook,

“You must not incentivize people to use social plugins or to like a Page. This includes offering rewards, or gating apps or app content based on whether or not a person has liked a Page. It remains acceptable to incentivize people to login to your app, check in at a place or enter a promotion on your app’s Page.”

Facebook goes on to explain that the reason they’re implementing this change is,

“To ensure quality connections and help businesses reach the people who matter to them, we want people to like Pages because they want to connect and hear from the business, not because of artificial incentives. We believe this update will benefit people and advertisers alike”

Any idea folks? I tried googling around and can't find the answer...

Depends on who reviews your site. I've seen sites last months while others get banned within days.

I'm not sure but i do not see any restriction about like/share to unlock content here. Facebook disabled fangate functions in facebook page apps only. There are much differences between Page apps content and website content.

That's what I'm thinking about.. Just want to make sure not to get my domain name banned from sharing on fb :)

There is ONLY ONE problem with sharing on fb. If you have too many visits on ONE page on your website and they share your post too many times in a short time, your domain could be warned by facebook linkshim proxy because this system will mark your domain as spam.

I see... what if I create several page with same content and rotate my traffic to these pages? Will it be safer?
