Are Sape Links Illegal?

I've heard various things about SAPE links, some people tell me that they're fine, others tell me that they're illegal.

I've been considering making a few rank and bank sites, however, I don't want to do anything that crosses that legal bound, I've heard that they're all hacked links which violates some laws.

They are just normal backlinks from a powerful network theres nothing illegal about them.

What you were being warned about was link injection which is hacked links and illegal depending on where you live.

How can links be illegal, it's not like you're selling drugs. If you have a site you can also apply to enter SAPE network, they will tell you to insert a code to your HTML to verify it is your site and if everything is ok, you will be a part of SAPE network and you can sell links with them...simple as that.

Yeah theres nothing illegal about that, your just paying for a link to your website to be put on another website.

Nobody ended up in jail for buying Sape links, as far as I know.

They are not illegal but risky to use and you need to
check your supplier and make sure you are getting the
right links from the network.

Yes I got 12 years for linking to my site from some Russian mail order bride website. Really regret it now, as I later found out that the damaged condom niche is not even that profitable.

Sape is not illegal per se, but in the past they've drawn some criticism for being a platform where h@ckers who inject links without site owners permission could monetize their practices...

Just saw this post while I myself was searching whether or not it is illegal. And this is what i've found, just writing it here, I think it will help people who are looking for more details - "SAPE is actually a platform where hacked sites or "injected sites" get a script embedded onto the site, hence why your backlinks are added in minutes, literally. The entire process is automated, even most of the hacking! So technically, anyone who has bought SAPE links could be prosecuted under the Computer Misuse act (or any equivalent literature)." we all know that hacking into websites is illegal and many people get jailed for this, if you don't know this, just search in "jailed for hacking". You'll see what i'm talking about.
