Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that AMAs (Ask Me Anything sessions) don’t seem to get as much attention as they once did.
Do you think Reddit AMAs are still a valuable way to learn from experts and public figures, or has their impact declined over time?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

They’re still valuable when the guest is genuinely engaged and knowledgeable, but overall the impact feels lower today because Reddit has many more ways to interact with experts outside of traditional AMAs.

I think AMAs still work, but only if they’re in the right subreddit with an active audience. Random AMAs don’t perform like they used to.

They do work, but only if the person being intervewed is really relevant to a niche group and actually provides some value. Generic celebrity AMAs don’t have any impact due to low levels of engagment and rehashed questions. Good AMAs resemble more of a niche Q&A thread nowadays than an event

I think they’re still valuable when the guest is genuinely engaged. The hype isn’t what it used to be, but a good AMA can still provide insights you won’t find in interviews or social media posts.

They are still valuable, but you have to look outside the main page and visit smaller, niche subreddits. Experts are much more likely to give real, detailed answers in specialized communities than on the front page.

AMAs are still worth it but you need to pick the right niche subreddit, not the generic ones. The real value now is in building credibility by being genuine. If you just link drop, you will get downvoted. I have seen good results from AMAs in subreddits related to digital marketing and entrepreneurship specifically.

AMAs still work but they no longer get the viral attention they used to generate. However, they still work for the niche within which you post especially if you already have established authority
