Are Reddit Ads Worth It for Driving Real Conversions?

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been exploring Reddit ads lately and noticed they’re cheaper than Facebook and Google in some niches, but the traffic can be tricky to convert. Some marketers say Reddit users ignore ads completely, while others claim they get great results with the right targeting and creative tone.

For those who’ve actually tested Reddit ads, did they bring real sales or just clicks and impressions? What strategies helped you make them work?

i have not tested them myself but i have acquaintences that have and neither had good experiences. a lot of people saw their ads, almost no conversions, and these are people who already do facebook and google ads regularly. it is also the sentiment i see from other anecdotal refs. maybe if you have a niche product that fits really well

We've seen real sales, but the conversion cycle is often longer. Reddit is a top-of-funnel powerhouse for building brand awareness with a highly targeted audience. The sales frequently come later via retargeting or direct traffic. Don't expect instant ROAS like Google Search, but the quality of the engaged traffic is unique.
 
Reddit is still by far the king in terms of driving conversions for pretty much any niche, its also one of the hardest platforms to master because of how strict their algorithm is.

You have to act smart. Try small campaigns first.
 
Target tight niche subreddits, use conversational tone, and focus on solving a problem or offering value rather than hard selling.

I have been wondering this myself. I was just about to start a campaign for my own project but was worried about this exact outcome.
 
Cheap traffic, yes, real conversions, only if your offer’s perfectly aligned with the sub.
 
Yes, Reddit Ads can be worth it for driving real conversions if your targeting, subreddit choice, and ad creatives match your audience well. Otherwise, results can vary.

I have been curious about this as well. I tried running a few small Reddit ad campaigns, but it was hard to figure out what actually drives consistent conversions.
