Are proxies still necessary for botting?

Hey BHW,

I'm going through some threads on creating bulk accounts for services like Instagram, Facebook and Gmail and I constantly see people mentioning the use of unique ip addresses / fresh proxies and stating that you shouldn't use more than X accounts for 1 ip address.

Since mobile internet has become mainstream and IPV4 addresses have almost ran out all mobile internet providers are putting their uses behind a NAT. This means that on mobile, hundreds or thousands of users can be using the same IP address at the same time. This means that hundreds of legit mobile users use the same IPV4 address to sign up for new accounts constantly.

Are you still actively using proxies, and does it really still make sense?

Edit: Also on mobile you'll get a new IP address every time you reconnect to the network. Making it impossible to reliably track users based on their ip address. I think that all sites have stopped using IP addresses as identifiers in their spam filters.

@SarahBunny If you can have a look over Sub-sections of BHW you will get that we are having a Dedicated "Proxies For Sale " Section where many reputed members are providing services related to Proxies .

I would say it is safer to use proxies than not using them, and use many different ones too
