If I wanted to start an adult site, could I use porn trailers from adult studios? Would they ask that I take it down or threaten to sue? I’m curious about this..

Yes, they’ll be copyrighted. However, you can often get this content from publishers with their blessing, especially if you’re advertising their products.
Also if you look up some popular adult affiliate programs they often provide lots of content that you can publish to attract leads.

Yea they are copyrighted, but some companies allow networks to give their affiliates “promo” content, but each company has their own set of rules and guidelines that you have to follow.
