I have observed that the demand for PBNs has decreased a lot over the time ? Are they useless now or have evolved with time ?

Not into backlinking much. However, reading other's views regarding PBN, I can safely say yes they are still worth it.

They need to be "Private" not Public Blog Networks (which is the case with a few PBNs on BHW)

the old spam is kinda dead nowadays, at least for most of the English niches,
on the other hand, investing in some really good pbns and maintaining them with the right content, design, domains, low OBL & minimal footprints is not going to be dead anywhere soon
that simply because google crawlers will never find out about such websites as they're not much different than a real ones

PBNs are definitely not dead. We've seen tons of rankings across the board in lots of niches / industries.

It's really important that the PBNs are high quality and not spammy.

No , they are not , last black friday , build a small one def still work (and will works for long time)

if it is private for your self like the name its worth it
If you start selling on it
After sometimes its not worth it anymore because Google might not index your shit to the toilet

PBN works and will always work until google finds an alternative way to ranking websites ignoring backlinks.
Quality PBN works although link farms with footprints are dead as they don't offer any value.

On BHW, you have a lot of predators just looking for inexperienced people

I understand it. Survival mode is real across the world. Hungry have to eat.

So it's your job as a smart business person to survive all of these 'mousetraps'

Live with the idea "level up"

I think Public blog Networks were NEVER a great option after like 2014-ish. Not if you wanted a site for long term purposes.

IMO, it's better to start off slow, investing in quality links , over the way of thinking "whatever works" .... Whatever works usually dies and crashes, leaving you back at point 0 to start over.

Someone said "Private Blog Networks" is PBN... Never heard of that before.

If it's private, it has an exclusive process of posting content and quality control overall. It wont be flooded with spam across the site. It's not part of a 'network'

No. PBNs cannot be dead. as long as there is money to be made in the market by building backlinks from High-authority domains the PBN "game" will keep operate.

It's not for the faint hearted I can assure you that

There are many good PBN sellers on BHW and there's a strong reason why they are still in business right?

No, PBN still works. If you have high quality effective, healthy with good metrics PBN sites, Surely will help you to boost your site.
Those PBN sites are maintained with good quality content with minimal spam score and also minimal digital footprints.
This will reform your ranking for your site.

My Site was no where . But After Buying PBN (cheap PBN) it helped, now I am ranking on many keywords. I am in very high competitive niche..

The real problem with an "ordinary" PBN is...

Once a domain is included in the network, the PBN owner just sucks off the residual authority of the domain and starts selling outbound links to site owners.

Two consequences because of this...

1. The amount of PA juice passed gradually goes down over time until it does not even matter anymore.
2. Most of these PBN sites don't have traffic (and that means, no trust flow either).
3. Topical relevance is built not from general sites linking out to a wide variety of topical sites but only for outbound links to a specific niche of sites. E.g. IM-related sites linking out to IM-related sites.

Exception to pt. 3 — not all referring domains to a site are 100% related, so that's a part of natural backlinks profile. That's why the PBN links might work.

Then again, you will see some ranking improvement because something is better than nothing, right? (where the PBNs don't have footprints, do not have a spam history and at least the links get indexed over time).

The only solution I see is building your own PBN (which as @GNews said is not really a PBN) or gaining rental links from "healthy" PBNs. In that way, the owner won't have to sell a bunch of links to maintain the network and would probably work on developing his PBN sites in a better way.

Frankly, unless you are sure how a PBN owner works or you know him personally as a person, it's not worth buying a bunch of $5/$10 backlinks from an anonymous service.

Anyone can buy a few high-authority domains from GoDaddy Auctions, host them on EBN and start their own PBN. The real challenge is maintaining the SEO value of the network over time.

I do not know the answer but I can point you in the right direction. Whatever casper is doing as far as seo goes it what everyone should be doing.

They are in a highly competitive market and getting their lunch eaten by purple and the big boys on the SP500.

Yet they crush everyone in SEO and it's not even close.

I think Newbies, and intermediate SEO’s stay away from PBN’s because the “experts” (Neil Patel) in the industry tell them to stay far away or Google will find them.

While us seasoned SEO’s who like to make money, and like to make it faster and more than our competition - we use our own PBN’s.
